Kenny Burgos
Kenny Burgos is the inaugural CEO of the New York Apartment Association (NYAA), representing nearly 1 million affordable housing units—making it the largest trade group of private multifamily owners in the U.S. A lifelong Bronx resident and former NY State Assembly Member, Kenny has spent his career championing equitable housing policy. In the Assembly, he led rent-stabilization reforms, expanded housing tax credits, and fought to keep housing affordable for working families. He previously served in the NYC Council, shaping budgets that supported housing initiatives and financial aid for renters. Raised in a small business family, Kenny understands the connection between economic opportunity and stable housing. He is a graduate of the Bronx High School of Science and holds a degree in Economics from the University at Albany. Now leading NYAA, he leverages years of legislative and policy experience to deliver sustainable, community-driven housing solutions across NYC.
